AHBAND!
Exam break is coming real soon, one month break, so as i said in the afternoon earlier on,
Oh, remember i told you guy about a continuous process that is going round and round in AHBAND, or even every single band. The 4 P process!
PLANNING
PREPARING
PRACTISING
PRESENTING
PLANNING: planning and managing time well, planning own selfprac sessions, planning your sectionals well, planning the band pracs, planning the upcoming activites (schedule for band) and ....
PREPARING: preparing to play the piece - checking rhythm, checking unknown time signature, checking fingerings, checking notes, and preparing your scores, pencils to note down whoever says anything that helps in the music and ...
PRACTISING: the most tedious yet MOST IMPORTANT part of the whole cycle! practice makes perfect! practising yourself, then practising with your section during sectionals, then practising with the band to get the feel, the coordination and everything, and practise till you even sing the song in your mind whereever your go, :D
THAT TIME I SHOWED YOUR GUYS MY BOOK RIGHT, "PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT!"
Lastly,
PRESENTING: the shortest but SHIOKEST part of it - your final destination. 台上三分钟，台下十年功, its really true, your practise months and months for concert, and any performance, just for that few minutes up there on the stage for your performance, but if you really put your heart and soul into every singly prac, you tried giving your best shot in every single prac,your tried to achieve the best of yourself, you work so hard, and i promise you won't have any regrets after you perform, trust me okay! (:
If you think its your best shot, and you have put in alot and alot of effort, you would have any regrest, instead, you will certainly be overwhelmed by a strong sense of pride and satisfaction.
Realise that all processes are in -ING? so its a ongoing process, i know you guys can feel really sian and just so sick of band, but still, hang on there okay!
